HVI was an event sponsor for the Chowderfest on 10/2022 on Long Beach Island. This yearly fundraiser is organized by the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce. Chowderfest is a free family-friendly event that features chowder. It was a beautiful day to be in the community down by the shore.

The Tug raised money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of NJ, & the Manasquan + Pt. Pleasant Beach recreation departments.

10/18 was the annual Making (St)rides Against Breast Cancer Rolling Pep Rally! Participants drove their cars at the Blue Claws Stadium in Lakewood, NJ, while the HVI team gave them goodie bags filled with breast cancer awareness items.

Early Detection Saves Lives... Don't Be Afraid to Get Tested!
HVI was the first in New Jersey to offer ABVS for women with dense breast tissue. Dr. Thomas Yu, Medical Director of Health Village Imaging Manahawkin, explains that "an ABVS is a mammogram using ultrasound. The goal is to identify something as early as possible." Local twins Meagan McCallum and Courtney Werner had an ABVS (Automated Breast Volume Scan) at Health Village Imaging & it saved their lives! Read more here!

Dr. Yu, Medical Director of Manahawkin at Health Village Imaging, was on the 92.7 WOBM Ocean County Breakfast Show interview with Shawn and Sue. Dr. Yu discussed the many features that make Health Village Imaging unique, including full multi-service imaging in each of our three locations: Manahawkin, Jackson, and Wall.
He explained how HVI minimizes Covid-19 risks by promoting safety for patients starting with registration; through to receiving test results. HVI has a virtual waiting room, plexiglass sneeze guards, and cleans with ultraviolet lights.
Specialized exams are offered, such as, lung cancer screenings, plus 3D imaging for dense breasts. The radiologists and staff at HVI are devoted to keeping patients healthy and making sure they get the medical treatment they need.

In collaboration with Point Pleasant Borough High School, Health Village Imaging provided a scholarship to a 2020 graduate who is planning to continue their education in the studies of medicine or radiologic technologists.

As a sponsor, we helped shuttle walkers to the 2019 event Making Strides against Breast Cancer in Point Pleasant Beach.
